[Mrs. Wagner, the P. E. teacher, is pairing off students to race against each other. Hakim can run 8 yards per second, and Bernard can run 9 yards per second. Mrs. Wagner decides to
give Hakim a head start of 44 yards since he runs more slowly. Once the students start
running, Bernard will quickly catch up to Hakim. How far will Bernard have to run? How long
will that take?
