Olaudah Equiano was a Nigerian writer who was kidnapped and sold as a slave when he was 11 years old.

He published a work called  Interesting Narrative in which he tells his enslaved life. Although he bought his own freedom, he countinued suffering from persecution and abuse by some men who said he was runaway slave.
