What did the ottomans see as evidence that the islamic world had a monopoly on truth, enlightenment, and culture?

It might be pointed out that in the Ottoman Empire, where people live and work conditioned their class, they had sultans who had a lot of power which was hereditary which causes a great deal of killing among them to get that power. there were Christian slaves and political warriors. They were Muslims but if you belong to another religion your were supposed to pay taxes for it. They had a monopoly on the European market because they controlled the Mediterranean.
