Summarize the strategies used by the grange and farmers’ alliance and evaluate the success of each

The Grange Movement and Farmer's Alliance pushed for the creation of an agency concerned entirely with farming, which is the Department of Agriculture. They created what was called cooperative buying stores or  co-ops. The coops purchases large amounts of good things like bulk buying. It purchases large amount of goods and equipment directly from the producers. Since when buying in bulk, coops get the materials at a cheaper price, then individual farmers are also able to buy goods at lower prices, which allowed farmers to save money. They worked against high railroad freight. They negotiated lower prices so that farmers shipping their goods to market would be cheaper for them. They fought against high interest rates charged by banks for farm loans. They worked on passing  what was known as the rural free delivery bill of mail. They changed the government's tight money policy by putting more money into circulation. By doing so, they raised the price of crops and other goods raised the amount of credit available to farmers.
