The Minoans were a highly developed, very intelligent society that had improved painting, fresco making, travel, boat building, and pot making, as well as developing a huge trade system and navy, and "creating" running water. The Mycenaean were a bellicose, warlike people who stole ideas from the Minoans and created little for themselves. After the Minoan civilization fell, many of their advances were lost for centuries until modern technology. The Mycenaean had no major interests in art and beautiful cities, but in war.
