In a paragraph of 125+ words, explain why things following world war ii were far from "normal," even though people wanted a return to normalcy

After the war, many goods were not easy to be found, and generally the economy was not very strong; as it had to recover from the time of war and destruction. This contributed to the fact that life was not yet "normal".

Also, may people, especially soldiers, came home with PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) and suffered consequences of what they've seen for years.

But perhaps the biggest reason why they were not normal is that another war followed: the Cold war, and people were aftaid of even worse, nuclear, war.
