How were returning africa -america soldiers treated in american cities in 1919-1920 ?

During they period, the Africa American soldiers were treated badly in American cities.

It should be noted that during this period, there was a lot of racism and discrimination in American societies.

The returning African Americans were treated badly. They were also a target for white supremacists and the Klu Klux Klan group ven  though some were veterans. They were seen as being inferior to the whites.
