Which document or institution do you think has the greatest influence on the development of the united states? why?

I'm thinking the United States Constitution. This is because it established the very principles in regards to how we are governed today as a democratic society. It was also the complete basis for our branches of government (Executive, Legislative, Judicial) and how those should work. In conclusion, it's really what our country is based off of.
