Crispus Attucks was black American who is considered to be the first man killed in the American Revolution. He became an icon of slavery in mid 19th century. The death of Attucks and four others angered the american people and triggered the american revolution. Later he became a symbol of anti-slavery movement in 18th century, due to his mixed ancestry he also became important figure in Native American history. He still has an impact on the american culture today as songs stories and shows talk about him.
