Why was the battle of the thames important for the united states in the war of 1812?

Because the Americans once again defeated the British. Under command of General Harrison, the Americans fought against the British and defeating them, also killing Tecumesh. Because we won the battle, we decreased the threat Britain put on the Americans in the Northwest 

On the afternoon of april 30, 1789,george washington  stepped out onto the balcony of federal hall in lower manhattan to take the oath as the  first president of the united states.
