In order to send troops to vietnam, the united states used the draft system. the draft was a controversial issue, and many americans not only protested the draft, but made attempts to avoid it. first tell me how the draft system works and who was drafted? age, status, class, upper, middle, lower etc. then tell me the ways many american expressed their disagreement with the draft either with symbolic gestures or taking actions to literally avoided being drafted

The way the draft system works is people are sent a draft notice often from a branch that is interested in them when they sign up. The age often varies. It usually starts at 18 and goes up from there. The rank is determined by the commander when the person is enlisted.

In my honest opinion , i’d say franklin d roosevelt was a president that impacted our nation , i say this because fdr is voted among top three best us presidents and he was the longest serving president by 3 terms , usually presidents only supposed to have two terms increments of 4 years , equivalent to 8 years total before election time. and he established the fdic , through the 1933 banking act and he established the us , social security system , during his presidency, and established a national minimum wage , through the fair labor standards act , fdr led the allied coalition to victory in wwii and he played a major role in the creation of the united nations.
