This legislation is still in effect today and helps provide women all over the US with equal opportunity to education and athletics.

However, Nixon's most famous legacy was the Watergate scandal. This refers to when individuals broke into the Watergate facility to steal Democratic campaign strategies. These individuals were trying to help Richard Nixon gain inside information. However, Nixon denied any knowledge of these break-ins. Eventually the truth came out, showing that Nixon was indeed involved in organizing this break-in. This caused him to be the only US president to ever resign from the position of US president.
