The golden age of Islam saw the expansion of Islam both as a religion and as institute of politics and governance. During the age, Islamic conquerors,highly organized spread and expanded into otherwise christian and pagan territories converting and massacring dissidents and Christians.  the major caliphates expanded as far as Persia, and into North Africa and parts of Europe.
