The Aryans were descendants of the Indo-European people. They originated in north-central Europe and they migrated all the time. The Aryans were herders who took animals and flocks from place to place. The Aryans settled near the Ganges River which is the Indo-Gangetic plains. The Aryans migrated mostly in India. After a while, the Aryans gave up herding and took up farming.  This is because it was close to them contained rich soil for farming and it was easier to stay in one place. The Aryans then started a civilization that lasted from 1500 b.c to 500 b.c. The Aryans conquered the Indus Valley civilization.
