Why did so many people flock to cities in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries?

So many people flocked to cities because Industrialization was at its peak. Being a farmer in the country wasn't as profitable as going to the city and getting a job that was in high demand at the time.

Why do you have to ask such hard questions.
