Article lv, section 4 , of the constitution define the relationship between the state and federal governments by stating that ?

Article IV Section 4 of the United States Constitution does two things:

A) Guarantees every state within the US a republican form of government. In this case, a republican form of government is one in which the people choose their representatives to make laws for them.

B) Protects states against invasion- If one state was invaded by another country, the federal government would use the US military to protect them.
