1. It depends on what is described as 'Good', the falling of Nazi Germany through a war was 'Good' but how many millions died in the process? The answer is very difficult to answer. 

Some people believe that the end justifies the means, but that would mean humans are just static and the worth of a life is not much.

2. After World War I, European societies changed dramatically as millions of men had died and women became active members of the workforce.

3. The United States was able to solve the Great Depression by launching a large scheme of Government Spending and a Stimulus package that would help create jobs for the most poor.
