Emloyment law Donald is an employer of many Prejudices. He has decided to make 5 employees redundant Irish of a team of 8. You are asked to give your view on an equality issues that arise from this decision and whether there is any exposure to legal liability against the company for discrimination, harassment or victimisation.
The team has the same level of performance qualification and skill.

The three employees will be retained as Irish citizens. These are MOhammad, Donald's son and daughter Donald Jr and Ivanka. They all are in Twenties that is mohmmad ,junior and ivanka . None of them have ever indicated that they practise any religion. Mohammad, originally from Egypt, uses a wheelchair. Ivanka and John Jr are from Dublin.
The other five employees are following:-
(Is the treatment they are receiving discrimination favourably. finding out if it's discrimination by harrassment or victimistaion)

1.Kajal from India, is very proud of her Indian passport and her religion Hinduism. She has never disclosed that she is diabetic but she did send an email to donald by mistake which contained the comment that i am running out of my drugs for my needles. She has always felt that Donald does not like her because she comes from a very wealthy family and had worked his way from nothing ( discrimination). She has also referred to her as a lady with a silver spoon. She has been dismissed but 3 of them were not.( compare her to them)

2.Emma has never been happy in her job. She has made several formal equality complaints . One of these is still awaiting a decision. Her complaints are always the same. She has
repeatedly sought promotion over the past 4 years without success and always points to the fact that the no. of men in the management are higher than the no. of women. Her complaints have always failed because the assessment of her own performance, skills and qualification has been fair and accurate and were always less than those of successful candidates. Every successful candidate was in an event- a woman . (victimisation)

3. Robert is nearly 65 with no written contract stating that he should retire in 65. He has no intention of retiring . But the company has said publicly, repeatedly that it has to “renew” its staff with young recruits with reasons of generation change and the fact that the team has been called to work all night in an emergency. During several emergencies the team is required to be alert and active for 48 hrs.

4. Lissa knows Donald does not like her northern irish accent . She comes from a little village located 1 km from the national border between county D… in the republic of ireland and county d.. In Northern ireland. Donald has frequently made political jokes in her presence about unionists and nationalists and the british flag. However , she was never asked from which side of the border she comes from and she has never informed the company about her nationality.

5. Qi Chee , who is chinese is married to another woman and is pregnant. She feels the relationship with her employer changed dramatically when she disclosed the fact to Donald that she is pregnant . Donald sarcastically remarked when she told him that she will be a single mother. She has been told that her redundancy will take effect in 4 weeks time when she already will be on maternity leave.
Advise the company and cite legal authority .
