What was historically significant about Mosaic Law?

The Mosaic law is framed in anticipation of Israel's entrance into the promised land, and the land is a central concern of the legal framework. Of particular importance are the facts that Israel did not obtain the land through its own prowess or strength; and that its ownership of the land is not absolute.

i think it can have both positive and negative effects on businesses.

for example:

lets say you own a small business and taxes go up 4% that means it is going to cost your business more money to buy product to sell. but at the same time you make more money from the tax rise.

that is my theory.
