President George Washington once said: “A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government”. That quote has been interpreted to mean that President Washington believed that the people should be armed and ready to defend themselves if the need arises. Do you agree with President Washington?
