1)   y = -2/3x - 4

2)  y = -3x + 7

2)  Find  the slope (m)  m = y₂ - y₁/ x₂ - x₁

                                      m =  4 - (-2)/1 - 3

                                     m = -3

   Then find the y intercept (b) by plugging x, y and m into y = mx + b (you can choose either point given

4 = -3 ( 1) + b

4 = -3 + b

Add 3 to both sides

7 = b

So now you know  m = -3 and b = 7  

Plug into y = mx + b

                y = -3x + 7
