Slope Intercept is y = mx + b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

The first thing you want to do is find the equation of this line. To do this, just look for any similarities between the two. Notice how y values are both 1 higher than the x values? this means the formula is ...

y = x + 1

using this we can find our y intercept. plug in 0 and we get 1 as our y value.

so far we have...

y = mx + 1 because 1 is the y-intercept

to get the slope you can use this formula. (note that y(1) and y(2) refer to values from different equations and not multiplication)

m (slope) = y(2) - y (1) / x (2) - x (1)

do this using the two ordered pairs given in the question and you get -2/-2 or 1

plug this into our equation and you get

y = 1x + 1 or y = x + 1

you could just skip to the end from the first step (thats what i reccomend lol) but this uses formulas and stuff
