How do i make this in a scientific notation

2.3 x 10^3 + 6.9 x 10^3

Add 2.3 to 6.9:

2.3 + 6.9 = 9.2

Because both numbers are x 10^3, that would stay the same.

The answer is 9.2 x 10^3
