5)a yogurt costs forty five pence. how many yogurt can be bought for five pounds?

1) 1/2 + 3/4
1/2 = 2/4
2/4 + 3/4 = 5/4 = 1 whole and 1/4

2) C = 5h - 2    , h=12
C = 12-2
C = 10

3) 3/4 of 500
500/4 * 3 = 375

4) 34 more than 58
34 + 58 = 92

5) yogurt = 45 pence
assuming there is 100 pence in 1 pound:
5 pounds = 500 pence,
500 / 45 = 11.11111 (5 DP)
11 Whole Yogurts can be bought for 5 pounds
