An angle is measured with reference to a circle with its center at the common endpoint of the rays, by considering the fraction of the circular arc between the point where the two rays intersect the circle. an angle that turns through 1/360 of a cirlce is called a "one-degree angle," and can be used to measure angles.
1. take a blank sheet of unlined paper, trace a large circle on the paper and cut out the circle
2. fold the circle in half. you now have two straight angles, what are their measurements?
3 fold the circle in half again. you now have four congruent angles, what are their measurements?
4 fold a third time. how many congruent angles do you have and what are their measurement?
5. fill out the chart below as you complete the activity above (feel free to fold the circle more than fice times and see what happens! )
this is my summer assignment for math but i dont understand one bit of it. my math teacher had a thick accent and didn't teach very well (he was a sub because our real teacher quit for his business.)
in advance!
