breaking its own record ever since.
in 1997 the 13,432 jack-o'-lanterns were lined up on planks that totaled 12,000 feet
in length.
1. find the mean average diameter of the jack-o'-lanterns that year to the
nearest inch. [assume that the jack-o'-lanterns were arranged on the planks in
a single straight line, just touching.)
2. if that planking was laid end to end, how far would it reach, to the nearest 1/4
mile.
