Miners are lowered down a verticals mineshaft in a cage. the cage that these workers travel in descends at approximately 6 meters per second and returns at double the rate (12m/s) to pick up the next crew. the cage can transport 5 workers at a time. the boss believes that if his mine has 40 workers then it should take 45 minutes for the crew to get down and start working.
are the bosses expectations reasonable? why or why not?
(i need with knowing which numbers i need to divide/multiply)
