Show and explain the theoretical probability of a player winning your probability game. for a spinner that has 8 sides (1-8)
rules for the game so u know how to answer my question :
using a spinner and a coin. 2 players can play this game. so, the first person can spin the spinner and see where it lands on. the second person can start flipping the coin while the spinner is spinning, also see what sides it could land on ( heads or tails ).
if the coin lands on heads, player 1 has a chance to gain or lose points in the round. if the coin lands on tails, player 2 has a chance.
the player in focus then has 2 choices; they can flip the coin a second time or spin the spinner a second time.
if they choose to flip a coin, they have to predict whether they think the coin will land on heads or tails. if they are correct, they gain the number of points showing on the spinner. if they are wrong, they lose that number of points.
if they choose to re-spin the spinner, their goal is to beat the score of the first spin. if they do, they gain the difference in the points (for example: spin 1 lands on 2, spin 2 lands on 5; 5-2 = 3 points). if they spin a lower number, they lose the difference in points (example: spin 1 gets a 3, spin 2 gets a 1; 3-1 = 2 points lost)
*if the spinner happens to land on the exact same number, the opponent gets 5 points.
the first player to earn 40-points wins! best of luck and have fun ! ^_~ !
