2. “Your call will be answered in the order that it was
received” has been heard by anyone who has been put on
hold. You call electronically goes into a queue that gets
longer when calls are received and gets shorter when calls are answered. Over a 10-minute period, the rate
of change of the length of the queue is given by the continuous function q(t), as shown by the table to the
right. Using a trapezoidal rule, approximate the length of the queue after 10 minutes and determine at what
value t the queue is the longest. Assume the queue is empty at t = 0.
