I can't figure out which points to plot..pls help..

The first thing you want to do is simplify the equations and set them equal to y.

6x - 4y = -24

+6x          +6x  < Add six on both sides

-4y = 6x - 24

 /4       /4          < Divide by four on both sides

-y = 6/4x - 6      < Flip and simplify

y = -3/2x + 6     < And now you have your equation!

Now that you have an equation you can use, make a table to help you plot it.

To fill in the table, you can plug in a value of x and then solve for y.

Like this:

y = -3/2 (0) +6    < I plug in zero for x

y = 0 + 6  < zero times anything is zero

y = 6

So, now you can add to the table:

    < Remember, this also means (0, 6)

y   6
