area of this square formed by radius  of these circle what will be 3*3 = 9 inches squared 
from this area of square subtract area of a circle divide 4 and multiplied by 3 so what will be
9 -  (7,065/4)*3 = 9 - 5,29875 = 3,7 
and to this result add area of a circle what will be 3,7 + 7,065 = 10,765 inches squared 

so this red shaded area will be 10,765 inches squared
