You leave your ranch in South Texas to drive your cattle to the railroad in Abilene, Kansas. You have 2,000 head of cattle and 10 cowboys (not including you.) Along the trail, you are attacked by some cattle rustlers, the herd stampedes during a thunderstorm, and you have trouble finding water. As a result, when you get to Abilene, you have lost 10% of the herd. You sell the cattle in Abilene for $35 a head. You pay each of the cowboys $100 and the rest of the money is yours.
