What is representation of a division of a number; a part of a whole.

A part of a whole can be represented in three ways:

1. as a percentage - out of one hundred with the symbol % NOTE: this can be the part used or the part remaining.

2. As a ratio - in the format x:y. NOTE : This is actually x: whole - x (not x:whole)

3. As a fraction in the format x/y . NOTE: Here y is the whole
