1. 7.SP.1 A local reporter is writing a story about windsurfing. He surveys the students in the
local high school to see how many of them have ever gone windsurfing. Out of the
2,450 students in the school, he surveys 10% of them by sending the surveys to five
different math teachers and asking them to survey one of their classes.
When the survey results are tabulated, he finds that 40% of the students surveyed
have been windsurfing. He generalizes this finding to say that approximately
980 students in the school have been windsurfing.
Do the survey and the data collected support the conclusions that the reporter made?
Justify your answer by explaining in words why the survey and data do or do not
adequately support the conclusions.

Wrong answers will be reported! (3,7), (10, 0), (2.5, 1)1. using the vertices of the feasible region you identified in #7, tell which of the vertices maximizes, and which minimizes, the following objective equation: p=8x+3y2. why do we often use x0 and y0 as constraints in a linear programming (optimization) problem?
