HOW TO FIND SLOPE:

It's important to note that when writing the slope, it is written as RISE over RUN. So the numerator of your fraction is your "rise", also known as, how much it goes up. Then, your "denomenator", is your run, also known as, how much it travels on your X-axis.

Count your slope from left to right.

To get from the lower point to the higher point, we went up by one, which is represented as a +1 (positive one). Now that we've gone up to where we need to be, we must count across: To get to the next point, we moved six units to the right. When moving to the right, that number is positive!
