Hi, so im being asked to complete this assignment and would love any help, here it is: Part 1: One of the famous Grand Prix races takes place in Monaco, a small country south of France and West of Italy. Each Spring, racers from around the world come to this prestigious event. Currently, the race has 78 laps through the town of Monte Carlo (you may have seen this famous event in Iron Man 2). Each lap of the race has a distance of 3.34 km.

1. What is the total length of the race?

2. Write a rational function that can be used to model the race, where the independent variable represents the average speed in Km/hour and the dependent variable represents the time in hours it takes to complete the race. What kind of variation is this?

3. To the nearest km/hour, how much faster was the average winning speed in 2009 than in 2018? (Hint: The time given in the table above is in hours, minutes and seconds. You first have to change it to hours in order to use it for the calculation. You can access the resource here to see how to change minutes to hours as well as the resource here for how to change seconds to hours.)

4. In the 2018 qualifiers, Daniel Ricciardo set a new record for one lap in 1 minute, 11.841 seconds. What was his average speed for that lap?

5. Using the average speed that was calculated from question 4 above, a function for the time to finish the race based on this record could be modeled by totaldistancerecordaveragespeed+s Where s is the average speed above Ricciardo’s record. Evaluate the function for s = 10. What does the value of this function represent?

6. How fast would Ricciardo have finished this race if he had maintained the average speed that you calculated in question 4, the entire race?

Part 2:

Write your own real-world rational function. Use information from the web to support your rational function, graph it, and include a table of data.
