Solve 5(2x + 4) = 15. Round to the nearest thousandth. To solve: 1. Divide 5 from both sides which will leave 2(x+4)=3 2. Subtract 2 from each side leaving x+4=3/2 3.subtract 4 from each side and you will see this equation X=3/2-4 4. Use your calculator input Log 3/Log 2 -4 and you're answer will be approx X=-2.415 I did this break down because I saw other step by steps wrong and for those who would like to know how to get the answer vs only knowing the answer. you're welcome!
