The ECHS snack bar cooks and sells hamburgers and hot links during football games. To stay in business, they must sell at least 10 hamburgers and 30 hot links.
They must also cook at most 40 hamburgers and 70 hot links. The snack bar can
not cook more than 90 items total. The profit on a hamburger and hot link are 85
cents and 63 cents, respectively. How many of each item should the snack bar sell
to maximize profit? What is the maximum profit?
In order to answer this question, you must define variables, write inequalities for
all the constraints, graph those inequalities to find the
feasible region, and write
the profit function, using it to find the maximum profit.
