So since their are 2 cars to be washed each week, that's $40. each week(w for the variable) with the start of $640. so far the equation to that is, 640 + 40w=y. the end goal is $1,469. since he has already made 728, and  he gets to mow the lawn for 3 people every 2 weeks for $28. each lawn, he would be getting $84 every 2 weeks. adding the ending to the equation would make it 640 + 728  + 40w = 1,469. now since washing cars is every week when mowing lawns is every 2 weeks, we need to change our equation to be, 80w + 1,368 + 84w= 1,469 + 1,701. the next step is to simplify, 164w + 1,368= 3,170. now we solve.
3,170 - 1,368= 1,702.
