For this assignment, you will design the new lift for Black Mountain Ski Resort. Based on the position of the base and summit towers, the operators specify the lift should be 1,600 feet long and cover a vertical rise of 500 feet. Use these values to make a graph of the lift.

After researching lifts at other ski resorts, you find that the maximum distance between towers should be somewhere between 200 and 300 feet.

Determine how many intermediate towers are appropriate, and provide evidence to defend your decision.

Calculate the coordinates of the towers, assuming that they are evenly spaced between the base and the summit, and mark them on your graph.
