carla and jordan were trying to solve the equation (x+1)(x-1)=8 Carla said ill multiply (x+1)(x-1)=8 and rewrite the equation as x^(2)-1=8 then ill add 1 to both sides and take the square root. jordan said the left hand side is factored so ill use the zero product property. whos solution strategy would work explain why it works as opposed to the other technique.
