How do you calculate the power of i?

So i =    
that would mean that  i² = √i  x √i
                                       =  i
                                   i²  =  - 1
          
                           i³  = i  x i²
                               = i  x  (- 1)
                           i³  =  - i
  
 
                          i⁴ = (i²)²
                             = (-1)²
                      ∴ i⁴  =  1

Im not that good with division but i think 5 is -6but dont quote me on thatim not the best in division but thats my answer
