Similarities:

For both functions, x is increasing at the same rate.

They are both decreasing, which means that they’re reaching to the negative numbers.

Differences:

The y in Function 2 in increasing faster than Function 1, because Function 2 has a rate of change of -2, and Function 1 has a rate of change of -1 OR you can say that Function 2 has a slope of -2 and Function 1 has a slope of -1.

Function 2 as a y-intercept of 5, but Function 1 has a y-intercept of -3.
