Can someone help me understand? We are doing reflections in class

Okay Y is the line that is going vertically across X is going horizontally across.

When doing a reflection all you do is move the shape across the given axis.

For example if you have a point at (2,4) and you need to reflect it across the y axis it would be (-2, 4)

The points stay the same the only thing that changes is weather it is negative or positive.

Just move all the points to their opposite locations and then connect them to make the shapes
