For me when I am finding the slope I actually use the slope formula .

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 you have to find the x and y

Step 2: Use the slope formula

Step 3: Subtract y2 and y1 to get your answer

Step 4: Subtract x2 and x1 to get your answer

Step 4: If your answer is easy to divide  simplify it, if not leave it as it is

Choose two sets of data (x and y values).  Calculate the difference between the two y values.  Calculate the difference between the corresponding two x values.  Slope is the difference in y values / difference in x values.
