Melanie had 3 pounds of dried fruit. She packed the dried fruit into bags of 3/8 pound each. In each bag, 1/4 of the pieces of dried fruit were raisins. 1/2 of the remaining pieces of fruit were bananas. There were 48 slices of dried banana. The remaining pieces of dried fruit were raspberries. How many pieces of raisins and dried raspberries were there in each bag?
Question 2:
Clara has 3 bottles of paint. She buys 5 more bottles of paint. If she uses 1/4 bottle of paint to paint a picture, how many similar paintings can she paint with all the paint?
