Jose interviewed for two different sales positions at competing companies. Reliable Robotics has offered
Jose a salary of $31,200 per year plus a 9%
commission on his total sales. Robot Renegades offers
him $26,000 per year salary plus a 15% commission on
total sales for the year.
Write two linear equations, one for each offer, for the
annual pay y that Jose can make based on weekly
sales x.
Jose isn't sure which offer to accept. He likes both
companies so it comes down to the better offer. Jose is
pretty sure he can make at least $2000 sales a week.
Recommend to Jose which job he should take
considering his estimation of $2000 a week.
