I There were 35 bunches of roses and
tulips. Each bunch had 12 of the same
flowers. There were 7 more bunches
of tulips than roses. How many tulips
were there?

To get the number of bunches:
35-7=28
28/2=14
therefore there were 14 bunches of roses and 21 bunches of tulips

to find out how many tulips:
-it already states that each bunch had 12 flowers
21x12=252
there were 252 tulips
