Isaac is fishing off of a bridge. The tip of his rod is 22 3/4 feet above the water’s surface. The hook on the end of his line is 15 4/5 feet below the water’s surface. Isaac decides to let the hook sink a further 9 inches. What is the distance, in feet, from the tip of the rod to the hook?
