Why aren’t meteorologists more specific? If the weather forecast is partly cloudy with a chance of rain, how much of a chance of rain will it take to cancel an outdoor picnic? 50% chance? 60% chance? 90% chance? We use percents all the time and not just to bet on the weather. Find at least three examples of the use of percents in real-world settings. Use newspapers, magazines, video clips, Internet articles, or other resources. Use one of your examples to create a real-world problem for other students to solve.

A. Post the pictures, articles, recordings, or links of your three examples to the discussion board as well as the problem you created from one of your examples. Be sure to give a short description of what you found.
B. Read another student’s post and solve their example problem.
C. Review for accuracy and respond to replies to your post.
